Office Design, Reimagined
5 San Diego-Inspired Workspaces with the Idyllwild Collection
Imagine a workplace campus where every setting supports a different way of working. Conceived by designer Ellie Moser and rooted in a Southern California state of mind, the Idyllwild Collection redefines the office as five distinct neighborhoods—quiet enclaves for focus, open zones for collaboration, and everything in between. Each textile nurtures individuality, comfort, and community as the workplace evolves from obligation to experience.
Gensler’s 2025 Workplace Trends point to a seismic change: out are static desks, in are flexible workpoints. This evolution fosters mobility and choice, giving employees the freedom to match setting to task—turning the office into a place that inspires creativity, collaboration, and well-being.
Inspired both personally and professionally, Ellie Moser dreamed up 5 versatile San Diego–inspired workplace schemes—and from each moodboard came an Idyllwild Collection textile, crafted to reflect the evolving needs of the modern workplace.
Del Mar: The Town Square
Energizing & Welcoming
A spacious central hub where energy flows and ideas spark—the heart of the office where colleagues gather, connect, and recharge.
Inspired by the lively rhythm of beach life, the Del Mar pattern energizes high-traffic areas with movement and activity, creating a welcoming, stimulating environment that encourages interaction and a sense of connection
Del Mar Textile
The Focal Point
Del Mar captures the vibrancy of its seaside namesake with oversized diamonds alive in color. Inspired by racing silks, nautical flags, and the buzz of coastal fairs, its six palettes mix 25 hues into a polished cotton-nylon weave—delivering stain-resistant performance and SoCal personality in equal measure.
Invigorating the Lounge: Dynamic Pairings with Del Mar
Idyllwild: The Café
Relaxing & Fun
Harmony between creativity and nature defines this shared space—a casual setting for meals, impromptu meetings, and solo work in a populated zone.
Inspired by the scenic charm of a mountain village northeast of San Diego, Idyllwild features a floral design for contract upholstery that brings comfort, vitality, and refreshing energy to shared spaces—with vibrant pattern and a touch of the wild.
Idyllwild Textile
The Creative Spark
Born of California’s wildflower superblooms, Idyllwild bursts with hand-drawn florals in a tossed repeat. Recycled, bleach-cleanable yarns preserve fine texture and detail, while five palettes shift in spirit—lighter tones feel serene and sophisticated, while darker options become decadent and mysterious.

Ramona: The Hive
Comfortable & Stimulating
A tucked-away perch for focused collaboration—where teams nest, build, and grow ideas over time. Equal parts grounded and elevated, it’s a home base for creative synergy.
Inspired by its namesake town between desert and ocean, Ramona channels trading-post energy through rhythmic geometry. Crisp and modern, it defines dynamic spaces where long-term projects take shape and teams rise together.
Ramona Textile
The Textural Intersection
Emulating its namesake crossroads town, Ramona balances the tactile depth of matte wool with the reflective sheen of polyester, a blend that catches the light in motion. Across seven palettes, diagonals, grids, and checks trade focus—revealing shifting accents and fresh expressions from every angle.

Julian: The Aquarium
Focused & Formal
Clear and contained, these quiet enclaves support deep focus and uninterrupted flow—ideal for high-stakes meetings or task-driven teamwork.
Inspired by Julian, a mountain town near San Diego known for its snowfall, crisp air, scenic hikes, and iconic apple pies, Julian reflects a bold contrast to the coast. This unique blend of striking contrast and inviting warmth energizes meeting spaces.
Julian Textile
The Woven Haven
Julian’s richly dimensional tweed was crafted with custom yarns at a boutique mill in Turkey. Overspun cotton slubs and colorful fibers create cozy intrigue across ten palettes, from neutrals to brights—an ode to the California mountain town famed as the only spot where winter always brings snow.
Shaping the Silo: Fluid Pairings with Julian
Soledad: The Vault
Sheltering & Unobtrusive
A sanctuary of stillness, this quiet zone supports solitary work, reflection, and mental clarity. Named for Mt. Soledad—La Jolla’s highest point and a serene retreat above the city—Soledad’s mesmerizing linework unfolds across lush velvet.
Designed for focused nooks, this textile pattern invites the eye to linger, helping the mind turn inward and distractions fade away.
Soledad Textile
The Hypnotic Velvet
Invitingly soft and light-absorbing, Soledad reveals pure matte hues with unusual clarity. Linework fragments unfold across nine palette combinations—ranging from serene or bold to dreamlike—all echoing La Jolla’s summit, where ocean calm meets peak perspective.
Elevating the Retreat: Tranquil Pairings with Soledad
A Love Letter to San Diego
For our Senior Textile Designer and San Diego native Ellie Moser, the Idyllwild Collection reflects the landscapes and spirit of place that shaped her.
Each textile reimagines that essence for the workplace—redefining it as a destination that blends clarity, comfort, and connection into places people truly want to be.
